Mount Lookout is also home to the Cincinnati Observatory, which houses the oldest working telescope in the country.

Mount Lookout Square is considered the heart of the neighborhood. With a variety of specialty shops and restaurants, the square is a popular nightlife destination. Residents can also take advantage of the unique shopping locations in neighboring Hyde Park.

Mount Lookout is served by the Cincinnati Public School system, giving residents access to several of the area’s premier schools, including Walnut Hills High School, and the highly praised neighborhood elementary school, Kilgour Elementary. The University of Cincinnati and Xavier University are both short drives from Mount Lookout.

Homes in Mount Lookout are valued from around $150,000 to over $1,000,000, with the average price around $300,000. Newer houses and condos provide modern options while maintaining the traditional feel of the neighborhood. Many of the older rehabbed homes offer attractive choices for homebuyers searching for a bargain.
